Earlier this year I attended the Good Business Summit hosted by LowCountry Local First. One of the keynote speakers was Danny Caine of Raven Book Store and Author of How to Resist Amazon and Why. I was extremely shocked when he mentioned his book and so I was interested in the how and the why. (Mainly because the night before I’d ordered a new blouse and some car cleaning products from Amazon…) The point Danny was making was how consumers can shift their spending habits from the global leaders to local businesses. Support your independent bookstores like his. Yes, he pointed out if you order a book online, you’ll have to wait a couple extra days for it to arrive, but doesn’t it feel great knowing your money is going back into your community?
As a self-proclaimed foodie I make it my mission to support local restaurants. I challenge my friends to do the same. But the part that I was missing is that it doesn’t end at local restaurants. I was now seeing the big picture on how buying that new blouse from a local boutique and getting my car cleaning supplies from the locally owned auto parts shop would have been what Danny was wanting me to also realize.
Just like working for BizVox Communications, a local family-owned business, I got it. I push daily for others in the B2B space to understand it with me. Getting your business technology services from a local service provider over the companies you see on the billboards or TV commercials, is the right choice.
Does your business still use telephones? Are you tired of dealing with the big players and their obsessive upselling, long wait times, and support reps that can’t help, or fix your problems?
Or are you in a contract with a Hosted VoIP provider that offers zero help with the setup of your telephones and only provides customer support via a chatbot?
BizVox would love the opportunity for you to experience the local difference. Our uber-responsive customer service and knowledgeable technicians will make this happen.
But don’t just take my word for it! Check out our latest 5-star Google review: “Put your mind at ease and call this company! As a restaurant Manager, having the ability to call/email/text someone when internet/cable/phone issues arise, and get immediate response…it’s priceless! Customer service is above and beyond, fast resolutions, clear communication and follow up. More companies should follow your lead!” Ashleigh Jacobs – Orlando’s Pizza
Thank you, Ashleigh. And thank you to all of those reading this that support local.
