Picture yourself laying on the couch after work, enjoying some down time and all of the sudden your cell phone rings. It’s that one friend that has to call instead of texting you. Now if you’re like me, some nights you just are not going to answer. I mean you’re all comfortable under a blanket on the couch already. And all you require is a couple hours of down time. No phone calls for me please!
But the exact opposite happens to me during the day while working. I’m willing, ready, and able to take and make business calls for work. Last year I even told you about why I Love My Desk Phone. To date, having a business telephone is still essential in so many roles and industries. This includes customer service, sales, and inter-office communication.
You might be in the position where Hosted VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) services fit your businesses needs best, or traditional telephone equipment and services could be the answer. Either way, employees and customers still need to talk on the phone. Statistics show that 92% of all customer interactions happen over the phone. We all know there are so many ways to communicate in this day and age, but the value placed on a meaningful business phone call still reigns supreme.
As I continue to network, one of the biggest things I hear from all industries, is that customers are doing business with the person that picks up the phone, or quickly returns a call. No one wants to do business with an individual or company that doesn’t value the customer’s time. Especially when the prospect wants to become a customer. Or an existing customer can normally be helped in a quick 5-minute phone call.
