In a blog earlier this month I mentioned how all of us at BizVox get excited when we get to talk about Hosted VoIP services. I’m especially excited to tell you about why we don’t use self-service portals.
As the end of the year approaches, a lot of my focus has been on marketing and sales trends for 2024. Not only by reading articles but also attending local networking groups, and Chamber of Commerce events. One of the biggest takeaways in understanding the 2024 prospect is to listen to their needs and customize a package that will help them grow their business. This isn’t a new concept as we’ve been doing this at BizVox since the beginning, but since the pandemic and the current state of the economy, the importance of setting your customer up for success with the correct services is vital.
What are self-service portals?
When it comes to Hosted VoIP services, self-service portals mean that your service provider gives you access to a web-based platform where someone or multiple people on your team manage your Hosted VoIP services. In essence you or others at your company need to have the technical skills to manage your phone system. (Instead of focusing on their real job!) The self-service portal also allows for the provider to now be hands off of helping you with your Hosted VoIP. They’ve essentially provided you with some verbiage and videos on how to set up your phone system and leave it at that. Good luck.
Talking about self-service portals, I immediately think of the self-checkout lanes at the grocery store. I have a good friend that refuses to self-checkout. Not because he can’t scan, bag, and pay for his own items, but because he’s not getting paid to scan, bag, and pay for his own items!
At BizVox, our primary service is our Hosted VoIP. And because of this we do things differently. Why should you have to figure out how to program and set up your own phone system? That’s not your business, that is our business. We’re not going to feed you to the wolves and expect you to become a phone system professional overnight.
We want to take the time to be your phone vendor. To program the phone system. We care about your business and your success. We make sure your business is moving in the right direction. We always want to discuss the pros and cons to ensure everything is to your liking. And most importantly we’re here for you from set up through the duration of our services. Let’s Talk. Complete Business Communication Services.
