As a small business owner there are a lot of day-to-day concerns, worries, and decisions that are front of mind. In knowing this, we thought it was important to throw the following question out there; do you need an IT company?
Do you need an IT company?
This really is an important question to ask yourself. Hackers are no joke. Having proper cybersecurity is a must. And because of this the sales revenue for the IT management sector has increased substantially. Unfortunately, even with what some would consider the biggest and best IT companies, hackers can find a way through. A prime example of this is when a local hospital group from my hometown became the victim of “a cybersecurity incident”. What followed was a nightmare for the organization, the patients, and employees.
So as a small business owner, knowing that, do you need to make the huge investment in an IT company? I say no. Especially if you don’t have servers on site. A better fit will be basic managed network services.
There are much more reasonably priced services out there that can manage your network without going all in on an IT company. Having services that include configuring your computers, performing software updates, monitoring system performance, along with installing, managing, and monitoring the following: routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, network switches, wireless access points, and more. This allows you to support your infrastructure without the need for fully managed IT services.
